Great location, easy to get to everywhere, welcoming staff!
During our stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing the fantastic location of the guesthouse. It made exploring the city so convenient and enjoyable. The staff members were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
There was one incident that slightly marred our stay. There was an old man working at the guesthouse who seemed to have a short temper.

This place was a total steal at only $14 a night! The location was mind-blowing, with so much to do and see within walking distance. The owner was super kind and helpful, providing free towels, toothbrushes, and even coffee. The staff may not speak English, but everything was labeled in English, making communication a breeze. Plus, they let me leave my luggage after check-out and had a convenient washing machine for just 300 yen. Definitely a jaw-dropping experience!

Comfortable and affordable stay for 1 or 2 nights. The food was reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The dormitory room had cozy beds, plus there was central heating, a personal safe, and a fridge available. 😊

The dining area was so cozy, I felt like I was having a picnic inside the room. The location was great for pretending to be a samurai at Samurai Kembu Kyoto.
Who needs clean sheets and welcoming staff anyway?

The absolute bomb location - smack in the middle of Gion and the main shopping district, so no need for the subway or Uber. The shower and towels were on point, and the toilets were squeaky clean. The staff was super kind, even though they didn't speak English. The owner was a total rockstar - so helpful and sweet. Plus, they hook you up with free towels, toothbrushes, and even coffee. You won't believe the attention to detail, like maps to cheap eats and privacy curtains around the bunks. The place is hip and totally affordable. Live for it!

We had a great stay at this well-located hostel in central Kyoto. It was so convenient to explore the city from here. The hostel provided small towels in the shower room, which we could use for free. The bed was cozy and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. We appreciated the privacy curtains in the dorm room and the handy extension cord with a nightlight attached to each bed. The hostel also offered luggage storage options, allowing us to explore the city without worry. a fantastic experience at Kiyamachi Guesthouse.
All was perfect! 😊
